Drop Down Menus in Fireworks MX 2004

Tthis tutorial will teach you how to create drop-down menus.
It
is very easy to create drop down menus and you can follow these steps:
- Create an image or button to use as a drop-down menu
(e.g. Our Services or Products as seen on the site)
- Then got Edit/Insert/Slice to insert a slice to the image.
You can see a green slice like below. Then Right click on the slice
and click on Add Pop-Up Menu
- Double click in the text filed under the content tab and
enter the name of the menu items (e.g. Website Design).
- Click on the '+' symbol to add more menu items.
- Click on Next when you complete entering the menu items
- Then you will go to the Appearance tab. Here you
can give the color of the text and cells and font
size and specify a horizontal
or vertical drop-down menu whichever you like
- Click on Next. You will go to the Advanced tab
where you can specify the cell padding, border color and
shadow.
- Click Next. In the position tab you can specify
how you would like the drop-down menu to appear by selecting the appropriate buttons there.
- Click on Done.
- Choose Preview in Browser from File menu. Now you can see the drop
down menu on rolling over the button.
- Then go to File/ Export
and select the location you want to save them. Open the folder there you can find a file called mm_menu.js
which has the code for the drop-down menus created by Fireworks. The menu items
will be coded in the head content of the page.
